Canberra doesn't have many 5 star chain hotels. The Hyatt is currently the only one! The Park Hyatt Canberra is located close to Lake Burley Griffin on the south side of the lake. It is within walking distance to many attractions including the National Gallery, Old Parliament House, Questacon, The National Library and New Parliament House.
The Hyatt Canberra is located in a heritage listed Art Deco building from the 1920's. I'm a big fan of the afternoon tea which is served in the tea lounge and features an array of sweet and savoury bites.
If you're looking for a truly luxurious stay in Canberra this is your best option.
You can expect to pay around $300 a night to stay at the Hyatt Canberra.
The Hyatt Canberra is centrally located on the south side of Lake Burley Griffin. It's within walking distance of many Canberra attractions. You will need to catch a taxi or uber if you're looking to head into the City where most of Canberra's bars and restaurants are located. It's possible to walk (Canberra is pedistrian friendly) but it is quite a trek.
